Students are expected to complete their secondary schooling in five years starting from Form One until Form Five. Once they are in Form Three, it is compulsory for them to sit for the Lower Secondary Assessment Examination (PMR). Two years later, they are expected to sit for the Malaysian Certificate of Examination (SPM), which is equivalent to ‘O’ Level. The SPM examination is regarded as crucial to the students’  future because it will determine whether they are qualified to further their studies at any matriculation centers or other institutions of higher learning.
